Technical Section / Re: c10 six spring clutch

Just came across this thread about the clutch corks.  I too need a set for my chain wheel and as you all know they don't exist.
I have been looking at cork flooring tiles with the thought of making my own.  The tiles come in different thicknesses and I was wondering what the thickness of the corks should be?
I also noted that Burton Bike Bits shows a chain wheel with friction material. anyone have have any experience with these?
Thanks in advance for your help.

Better to run a little on the rich side than the lean side while running in.
When engine has done a few hundred miles you can final fettle it.
From what you say, its not far off already.

I've seen this before and believe it goes to the oil pump drive spindle, possibly for extra lubrication?

No it does not go to the relieve valve. The hole starts in sump and ends in the hole the oil pump gear is in. So could be that it feeds oilpump while lubricating the oilpump drive shaft

Is it just a drilling into the relief valve chamber? Hopefully someone who has currently got an engine apart will confirm....Owen?  Ron

PS I did watch this video of a guy rebuilding a C12 engine. He seemed to know exactly what he is doing.....Until he tried to put the engine in the frame the wrong way round, but never admitted it.  ;D

The bike runs champion starts easy ticks over nice and even pulls like a train with no hicks or splutters exhaust header pipes not blueing but a nice tinge of golden shade. Still early days as it needs quite a few more running in miles on it along with the obligatory fettling, sorry for asking basic questions but I always think its best to get as much info and opinions as possible even if you have been tinkering for years.

you should be able tell by how the bike runs. Check the jet size.
