:o The side stand does rest on the centre stand when both are up,
So you have to put the side down before using the centre sand
( no big issue though).
A way round is to use the next bolt along( I will try this tomoz and post my findings )

BTW....... Great job Paul
Alas I am  now retired ( due to back issues  :( ) from engineering at a University
So I no longer have access to the workshops, that's why I thought
my stand idea would suit those with a hacksaw and a couple of spanners.

Is there a particular reason why you don't bolt it to rear footrest plate where it should be?......is the stand too short?

Hi Graham
Am not sure about "where it should be" as if I tried to mount mine to the
Foot peg bracket it would have needed  a major refurb and indeed
It would be too short leaving the bike leaning over way to far.
My mod as stated is an off the shelf solution that requires no specialist
Engineering and at less than £18 seems a very cost worthy solution
to the problem of getting the bike on the centre stand in old age.

Cheers K  :D

As mentioned earlier I have just moved the kickstand to the next position along it fits great
And doesn't foul the centre stand.
If you do this mod you can leave most of the bracket intact drill it out on the right and then
A hole for a extra nut and bolt on the adjustment bar.

Did a very similar mod using the Indian supplied stand for a vespa. Only requires one hole drilling in the footrest bracket for the odd mounting stub [for a spring ? I don't know I don't have a vespa]  at the back which I threaded and used as the rear fixing bolt. A couple of washers for spacers and there you go. Check E Bay number 281633439406 and the idea is pretty clear
