C11G seat
« on: October 24, 2020, 08:30:18 pm »
One of my other tasks today was to take the seat off as it's a bit crunchy. It's rust or the foam has gone hard. Looking on here seats are hard to come by. My base has split where it curves. It's also quite rusty but with a bit of TLC I think it can be salvaged. I need to clean the rust off then find a very good welder to repair the splits. I want to try and use the cover as it's not split but is a bit stiff. I wonder if there is a product they will get the flexibility back? I think it'll need new foam and there's a chap locally who has just gone self employed, he doing a Triumph seat for me so if he gets that right I'll pass the BSA seat to him.
