Thanks Ginge. Yes that's an option. I'm feeling though that if I have to do a lot of buggering around then it's probably better to do so from scratch. I can get machining and welding done without too much drama. It's pretty rural here with lots of small maintenance shops around.

I’m hearing ya.  I see Pete's posted some footrest sketches and dimensions in the parts list section, so I reckon head down to the scrap yard and grab some steel and have a play.

I’m in the same boat as regards engineering resources.  Only one bug lathe in town, and he’s busy.

Indeed not Haddy. It was an incomplete wreck when I was gifted it in Fiji in about 2002.  I knew nothing about them so I think I was conned! So it lingered in bits for another 18 years and travelled in boxes. I kept changing cities ( if you can call Nadi or Port Moresby a city) and countries (if you can call Papua New Guinea a country).
I decided to finally get into it in January only to realise how little I had and how much of it was broken. I regret not buying up the bits I needed back then!  Unfortunately stuff I did buy, like exhaust and muffler, I only found out later that they didn’t fit!  Besides that the chrome had peeled and rusted without being in the weather.
Still, I’m only doing it for fun and I can at least tell everyone I have a £10,000 C12 because I’m sure that’s what it will cost me by the time I’m finished

We have a Fijian C bike!

How does a BSA end up in Fiji?

I’ve not got a lot of spares, but have some engine bits and fasteners if you need something weird. No tinware sorry.

Thanks Haddy

The Empire!  Lots of British stuff used to be in Fiji. Public servants were posted there and they all took something. Most of it has rusted away to nothing (you can hear it on a quiet night) or been exported. The tropics isn’t very kind the British steel

Thanks Craig for your trouble, however I think Owen is right and they are not C footrests. Cheers. Ray
