New addition to the family
« on: February 20, 2019, 07:38:31 pm »
Hi all
my c family has just started growing i have just picked up a c12 in need of some tlc,i dont know if its on the radar here at all  ( i bought it in burton on trent)apparently it was built from scratch with  new & old spares in 1979 then registered,it was last on the road in 2011 & sat since, unfortunatly the head was taken off some time & it sat uncovered & the engine has suffered, the  bike is 95%complete though.
I do have the engine minus the cylinder head & valve gear also the flywheels have been seperated & it needs a new conrod & big end crankpin set as these are in a terrible state.
Engine number BC11G3458
Frame number  BC11S414641
i am not sure if these numbers are correct for a c12 but i am sure one of you will know
a few pics below & if anyone can help out with a cyl head & crankpin etc please contact me
all the best laurie

Hi Laurie
Great to hear you rescued another C  ;D
The front frame loop may have been changed ? due to an accident  ::) or the number changed to match paperwork  :o
The white cylinder is a bit puzzling ???
It shouldn't be too difficult to find engine parts
(I can see the oil pump locating dowel ring stuck in the crankcase, don't lose it !!!)

Looks like a lovely project Laurie, I'm sure you'll make a great job of it, nice trailer too.

I can't wait to see the finished article Laurie. If it's in the same class as the rest of your stable it will be one of the best.
