petrol tank renovation

Hi All
The tank on my c11 is in good working condition but I am looking to restore to original.It is black and polished metal I think (if this is how they were plus a white pin stripe. I think the black will be fine maybe a re lacquer but the stripe needs re doing and the metal part needs a polish. I am based Manchester has anyone any ideas of who may be able to help?

You can buy stick on pinstriping.

Depends on the year and model (deluxe) as to the finish and striping
1940 C12 (350cc)
1945 C10 & C11
1953 C10 & C11
Anyone want a B20 in need of a lot of tlc

As has been said, it depends on the year but I suppose you mean chrome plating on the sides, Azzy. You are very fortunate if original chrome has survived all these years without serious pitting that's impossible to polish out.

It may well have been refurbished in its former life because I don't think black and chrome tanks came in until the late '50s with the ohv C12 and also, maybe, as an option on the later C11Gs.
