Rear shocks and springs for C12
« on: October 15, 2020, 08:33:32 am »
Hi All

I’m about to or have started to ponder new rear shocks

I did buy a set from Draganfly some time ago but they are pretty ugly and come with a caveat noting that they may not fit without modifying the chain guard. Really I’d rather not have to do that. I gave an Indian chain guard that has required repeated modifications to make it barely fit at all

Can anyone pass on a few hints about the shocks they are using. All advice gratefully accepted
Thanks
Ray

I bought a pair like the ones pictured from someone here in England but cannot remember where! They are slightly longer than the originals but look right. They were about the same price as the ones advertised but I didn’t have the postage costs! However the ad does show what other machines use the same shock absorbers.

Check with NJB - certainly not cheap but the ones supplied for my C12 were better than originals ( that was a number of years ago so things may have changed ):

Check tiger cub shocks - I bought a pair of 're-furbed' cub shocks for my C12 and although about 1/4 inch longer they work very well and fitted straight on. Still got the old ones if anyone wants them - well used but they look ok and do the job £15 + postage the pair
