Primary chaincase differences...
« on: May 23, 2020, 02:45:43 pm »
As I continue to collect missing parts for my project, I'm finding some parts to be very scarce.
I have a '46 (more or less) c11t
I have no tin work for the primary, but have been watching ebay and most of the parts places for a couple months.
Roger and Julia have an inner case (29-8112) which I think is for a c10l, and maybe c11g.
How different are they?
Will it fit properly?
I know the later maroon-painted cases are drilled differently.
Sometimes, I see descriptions that list the m-series bikes as well as the c. Are some interchangeable, or are the sellers guessing?

The short answer is no,
You really need the correct cases
Sometimes you see B or M cases mis described,  The C case has a circular sliding seal,  the others have an oblong one with two bolts
