Tank thread sizes
« on: March 10, 2019, 10:55:31 am »
Hello

Does any one know what thread the rear tank locating bolts are on a 1955 C11g please? The original ones are stepped and drilled for fixing wire.

The original part number is 65-8034

Hi Steve,
A pound to a penny they are 5/16 × 26 cycle thread
A dodge to get around finding the stepped bolt is to cut a piece of tube that fits over a normal set bolt and drill the head for the lock wire
Triumphs use an almost identical stepped
tank bolt
